Schedule: Morning (Shifts usually begin at 7a.m. each business day)

Our goal at Kean's is to return our customers' cloths to as near-as-new condition as possible. Our Shirt Pressers are responsible for for the pressing functions that make cloths look good! You'll get to use our state-of-the-art equipment and the finest products available on the market. Previous experience is a plus, but it isn't required! If you have a strong desire to learn and want to join the Kean's Team, we'll teach you the rest!

Job Summary:The Shirt Presser Position requires someone who can operate commercial pressing equipment up to eight hours per day. They must be able to maintain a minimum speed per hour while continually pressing and producting a high quality garment. The Shirt Presser must also enjoy working in a repetitive environment and have abover average dexterity.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate Shirt Pressing Equipment, Single Buck, Double Buck, Collar and Cuff, and Sleever (training provided)
  • Understand the Lot System of processing shirts (training provided)
  • Understand how to properly sort colors (training provided)
  • Understand the basics of shirt construction (training provided)
  • Be able to recognize common spots and stains
  • Must reach a minumum of 80 shirts per hour on a Double Buck Unit and 40 shirts per hour on a Single Buck Unit within the first 21 working days. (Note: A well trained Shirt Presser with excellent dexterity can press 95-100 shirts per hour on a Double Buck and 50-60 shirts per hour on a Single Buck.) (training provided)
  • All other tasks as assigned

  • Dry Cleaning Plants tend to be hot and noisy.
  • We need you and so do our customers! Dependability is a MUST! All candidates should have reliable transportation.
  • This job requires that you move -- especially your arms! Interested candidates should be able to perform the physical requirements of the job that may consist of considerable use of your arms and moving your whole body.
